Today, Paul Cauthen– the singer, songwriter and proud son of Tyler, Texas, shares his new song, “25 Tequilas.” The song was tracked in Fame Studios in Muscle Shoals as well as at Jay Joyce’s studio in Nashville, who served as co-producer on the song alongside Cauthen. The song is a relatable and honest party anthem that pieces together one of those nights that gets away from you and combines Cauthen’s signature swagger with an honest and comedic dose of country lifestyle. Listen to “25 Tequilas” here.
Cauthen shares the song ahead of his appearance at the iHeart music festival in Las Vegas on September 23rd, alongside Foo Fighters, Fall Out Boy, Public Enemy, and Miguel, where he will open the national broadcast on all iHeart stations as well as the Hulu simulcast. “25 Tequilas” will be featured as part of the iHeart Country House Party radio show on Saturday 9/16 and Paul will be interviewed during the show. The show airs 7pm - Midnight and broadcast on 80 iHeart stations across the country. This track follows a string of single releases leading into his appearance at Stagecoach early next year.
Recently Cauthen announced his 33- date tour of the United States. Cauthen will perform in cities including Dallas, NYC, St. Louis, Huntsville, and Philadelphia (full dates below) with support from Colby Acuff, Tanner Usrey, and Uncle Lucius on select dates. Ticket for all dates are on sale here.
True to his independent spirit, Cauthen chooses the road less traveled in the music industry. He declined offers from major labels, opting for complete control over his music and message. His recent releases showcase Cauthen's sonic evolution with his unmistakable "Big Velvet" swagger and attitude. Cauthen, aka "Big Velvet," plans to release multiple tracks in the near future, all through his label, Velvet Rose Records.
